The Law Offices of Norman Rivera, LLC was formed in August 2012 to focus on my core business, which specializes in land development, government relations and construction. This involves working with citizens, interested parties such as the finance industry and especially local and state government, as well as the federal government on occasion. These relationships lend themselves well in meeting the goals of my clients and the financial community in a heavily regulatory environment. Banks, investors and my clients seek certainty and transparency, which is integral to any business. I represent major developers and local builders, retailers, commercial interests, those in recycling and environmentally based enterprises as well as non-profits, which provide a balanced platform. Redevelopment and Transit-Oriented-Development are also focuses, and are Maryland objectives. MACo is integral to my efforts as the membership consists of those with whom I deal on a regular basis, and your conferences provide relevant feedback and training for myself. The annual conference is a great benefit in terms of reconnecting with individuals in the business and also an opportunity to engage with those I deal with frequently. I look forward to working with MACo as well as my colleagues.
