At its December 2013 meeting, the State Board of Education adopted new regulations and approved 71 new candidates to participate in the fee incentive program for teachers seeking certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. The candidates are from Montgomery, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties.
The new regulations relate to dual-enrollment of students in high school and local community colleges or other institutes of higher education and enrollment in mathematics courses relating to the College and Career Readiness and College Completion Act of 2013. An additional regulation adopted at this meeting clarifies the intent of the new school discipline regulation.
