Braveboy Cruises to Victory in Prince George’s Executive Democratic Primary

Aisha Braveboy won the Democratic primary for Prince George’s County Executive in commanding fashion, securing more than 70% of the vote in a five-candidate field.

With 323 of 327 precincts reporting, Braveboy received 51,792 votes (70.1%). Gregory Holmes finished second with 9,833 votes (13.3%), followed by Charnell Ferguson with 6,411 votes (8.7%). Billy Bridges received 3,355 votes (4.5%), while Marcellus Crews received 2,465 votes (3.3%).

Prince George’s County is one of Maryland’s charter counties with an elected county executive serving as the chief executive officer of county government. The county executive oversees county operations, proposes the county budget, and implements county policies and programs.
