With no other party challenger, winners in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 face no opposition in November.

District 1 – Kevin Chin won the Democratic Primary, beating out James David Handley and Jean Xu. No Republican candidates filed to run in this race during Tuesday’s primary election. Incumbent Liz Walsh (D) ran for Howard County Executive.
District 2 – Jessica Nichols won the Democratic Primary, beating Arinza Malcolm Ifekauche. No Republican candidates filed to run in this race during Tuesday’s primary election. Incumbent Opel Jones did not seek reelection.
District 3 – Incumbent Christinia Ruby (D) beat challenger Amir S. Naviwala. No Republican candidates filed to run in this race during Tuesday’s primary election.
District 4 – Janssen Evelyn won the Democratic Primary, beating out Linfeng Chen, Regina Clay, and Shamieka Preston. No Republican candidates filed to run in this race during Tuesday’s primary election. Incumbent Deb Jung (D) ran for Howard County Executive.
District 5 – Cat Carter (D) beat Felita Phillips and will face Ryan P. O’Connor (R) in November. Incumbent David Yungmann did not seek reelection.
