Somerset County seats five County Commissioners, by district, in each election. The results from the June 2026 primaries are summarized below – with no contested races in the general election.

In District 1, incumbent and MACo Treasurer Craig Mathies prevailed in his Democratic primary, and is unopposed in the general election.

In District 2, incumbent Deryl Webster appears to have won a close primary race against former Commissioner Rex Simpkins, and will return as commissioner unopposed in the general election.

District 3 incumbent Eldon Willing also will advance unopposed, after winning his contested Republican primary.

In Districts 4 and 5, Bryant Owens and incumbent Randy Laird faced no primary opposition, and are each unopposed in the general election.
