Former Delegate and W&M Chair Vanessa Atterybeary won the Democratic primary in the race to be the next Howard County Executive.
The Howard County Executive primary race was only contested by the Democratic Party. In the 4-person race former House Ways and Means Chair Vanessa Atterybeary beat out Deb Jung, Liz Walsh, and Bob Cockey for the Democratic nomination. She will be unopposed during the November General Election.
Incumbent Calvin Ball was term limited and was prevented from seeking for reelection.
