The Maryland Census has developed a new initiative known as Census Champions to celebrate individuals or groups who have gone above and beyond to promote the census in their community. Census Champions are selected from nominations submitted to the Maryland Census office, and recipients are posted on their website. Maryland Nears Milestone in 2020 Census Count

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Maryland currently has a 65.7% self response rate. Maryland Nears Tenth Place in Census Reporting

Maryland is just six-tenths of a percentage point behind Indiana for the 10th slot in the census self-reporting rankings by state.  The U.S. Census Bureau's rankings show Maryland is narrowly behind Indiana for the tenth spot in the top ten self-reporting state numbers. Harford Makes the Push for Third Place in Census Rankings by County

Harford County is climbing in the ranks for counties with the highest percentage of self-responses to the Maryland Census. The Maryland Census recently shared the latest numbers for the 2020 Census on Twitter, showing Maryland ranks 13th in national numbers, with 54.2% of self-responses completed.
