The Maryland Census recently shared the latest numbers for the 2020 Census on Twitter, showing Maryland ranks 13th in national numbers, with 54.2% of
self-responses completed.

Maryland is second in the region for number of completed responses, just behind neighboring Virginia. Sixteen of Maryland’s 24 districts have completed more than 50% of their responses.

The census is quick and easy to complete, either online, via telephone, or by mail. Census numbers help direct billions of dollars in federal funding to local communities for important public services. The census count is also used to redraw legislative districts based on population count.
