Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly has survived a spirited campaign from sitting Council President Patrick Vincenti, and will advance to the general election, while a Democratic rival is too difficult to discern yet.
Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly faced a widely-watched primary contest with current Council President Patrick Vincenti. With the day-of tally registered, Cassilly holds a solid 60 to 35% margin, and should comfortably advance to the general election in his bid to serve a second term.
In the Democratic primary, the two rivals are neck-and-neck, with Matthew J. Brown holding a mere four vote margin over Barbara Osborn Kreamer through Wednesday morning’s total. That race will surely come down to the final tallies of mail-in and provisional ballots cast and counted in the days ahead.
