The Maryland Smart Growth Subcabinet will be meeting Saturday, August 19th 9:30a-11:00a at #MACoCon.
The Smart Growth Subcabinet (Subcabinet) member agencies at will be maating at the MACo Summer Conference on Saturday, August 19 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to reflect on the past 25 years of Smart Growth in Maryland. The Subcabinet will also report on its current work and progress on 2023 legislative directives. Interest parties can attend either in person at the annual MACo summer conference in Ocean City or virtually (click here to register). As part of this forum, the Subcabinet is seeking input on the shaping of the future of Smart Growth in Maryland.
As a forum for discussion and collaboration across state agencies on topics of land use and shaping of the built environment, the Subcabinet is uniquely positioned to advance growth and development that generates economic opportunity in balance with our responsibilities of natural resources stewardship and the fostering of healthy, thriving communities for all Marylanders.
