Queen Anne’s County Department of Planning and Zoning is hosting Building Codes and Inspections for Floodplain Development seminar on Tuesday, June 20, from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at 110 Vincit Street in Centreville, Maryland.

This seminar is intended for planners, building inspectors, surveyors, engineers, contractors in the building industry, and real estate professionals. This seminar is offered free of charge, but registration is required. Register by visiting or scanning the QR code on the flyer.

The topics that will be covered include:

  • National Flood Insurance Program Overview
  • 2021 I-Codes and Flood Provisions (including ASCE24-14)
  • Floodplain Inspections and Enforcement
  • Substantial Improvement/Damage
  • Elevation Certificates and Dry-Floodproofing Certificates
  • Question and Answer Session

Certified Flood Manager (CFM) credits will be offered for this seminar to those interested.
