Register for MEA’s Community Wind Outreach Events

The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is pleased to announce its upcoming Community Wind Outreach Events. These public information sessions, open to anyone interested in learning more about community wind scale wind projects, will be held in October, with events being hosted in various locations throughout Maryland.

Community-scale wind energy projects are larger than residential projects, smaller than utility scale projects, but large enough to provide energy to a local business, a community facility or an educational institution.  Additionally, MEA defines community wind as a project that benefits not only the project developer and site owner, but that also provides a benefit to the local community.

Dates of Outreach Events:

  • Thursday, October 15  – Hagerstown, MD
  • Monday, October 19 – Cumberland, MD
  • Monday, October 26 – Easton, MD
  • Wednesday, October 28 – Salisbury, MD
