All registered newly elected county officials are invited to participate in MACo’s highly acclaimed orientation. Learn about local government budgeting and structure, your role in the legislature, and how to make the most of your MACo membership. Participate in a mentoring roundtable with veteran elected officials and get all your questions answered about what the next 4 years have in store for you!

4. ACADEMY FOR EXCELLENCE COURSES
2 Academy for Excellence Core Courses are being offered during the conference, 1 on Wednesday: Ethics (Wednesday, 1:15 pm – 2:45 pm) and The Open Meetings Act (Friday, January 4, 8:00 am – 9:30 am).
