“2010 mavericks competition” by Shalom Jacobovitz

In public sector project management, dynamics change rapidly, like a wave. Key elements of project management in the public sector include: working with multiple stakeholders; adapting to budget changes; and managing public expectations.

In an educational session sponsored by the Maryland Association of County Administrators, two project management professionals – one a sitting county councilman and another an executive in the defense industry – share their expertise and experiences in project management and change management. This presentation will include practical advice for government officials on how to manage projects to deliver taxpayer value.

Maryland State Senator Gail Bates will moderate the discussion of speakers:

  • Jon Weinstein, PMP, Vice Chair, Howard County Council, President, Line of Sight, LLC
  • Steve Moore, PMP, Vice President, Strategy & Business Development, Orbital ATK

This session will be held at the MACo Annual Conference, located at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
