On Monday, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez met with Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett to tour the Montgomery County Correctional Facilities in Boyd, MD. The tour highlighted innovative programs, such as the American Jobs Center program, operating at the jail to help prevent recidivism by teaching inmates useful skills and helping former inmates find employment.
