Rawlings-Blake Elected VP of U.S. Conference of Mayors

Announced on June 24, Baltimore City’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was elected as second vice president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors while attending the group’s meeting in Las Vegas this week.

Under the group’s rules, Rawlings-Blake is in line to become president of the organization in 2015.

This is the mayor’s second high-profile national position. She was named secretary of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in January.
