Senator Robey Receives 2013 Livio A. Beccaccio Award

Howard County’s Police Department announced Thursday that Senator James Robey was awarded the 2013 Livio A. Beccaccio Award from the FBI National Academy Associates.

From the announcement on facebook:

This award recognizes an association member who has demonstrated exemplary character through an act of heroism, outstanding community service, innovation in law enforcement or leadership. The award is a living memorial presented in honor of Livio A. Beccaccio, who served as chief of the National Academy Unit at the FBI Academy from 1987-1994. He died September 17, 1997, in a helicopter crash which took the lives of 12 members of an international peace mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Former Howard County Police Chief Robey has long been an asset to the law enforcement community and we congratulate him on receiving this award.
