Anne Arundel County Requires Automatic Defibrillators at Swimming Pools

A July 3 Capital article discusses the Anne Arundel County Council’s recent decision to require all county public and semi-public schools to be equipped with automatic external defibrillators.

The bill was written as emergency legislation, meaning it takes effect immediately. But pools that don’t have the devices yet will not immediately be cited, said Alan Friedman, director of government relations for County Executive John R. Leopold.
