MACo Conference in Full Swing

U.S. Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger addresses attendees on Maryland's role in nation's intelligence infrastructure.
 The MACo Summer Conference is in full swing with attendees visiting an array of educational sessions, and the main exhibit halls open for business.
 
On Wednesday  U.S. Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, Howard County Executive and MACo President Ken Ulman, University of Maryland, School of Public Policy Dean, Don Kettl, and Baltimore City Council Member Rikki Spector offered Congressional, local government, and academic perspectives on the importance of the country’s defense, as well as the practical effects of t he physical facilities, high-level jobs, and economic growth that will accompany it.
 

On Thursday morning officials from throughout the state gathered for the Rural Counties Forum to discuss issues effecting Maryland’s rural county governments.
