The State Board of Education released details today of the five requests from counties for a FY 2011 waiver of the maintenance of effort requirements. According to the information posted on the Maryland State Board of Education’s website requirements of Maryland Education Article, Section 5-202 stipulates, county governments must prove that the county’s fiscal condition “significantly impedes” the county’s ability to fund MOE.
