Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Report Highlights Consequences of Cuts to Local Health Dept. Funding

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released a report this month stating “the ability of local health departments to protect and improve health is in jeopardy” due to cuts in funding.  Click here for more information.

The report, entitled, County and City Health Departments: The Need for Sustainable Funding Through Health Reform, was funded by Health Management Associates.  Mr. Jack A. Meyer, the principal of Health Management Associates, has advised Maryland local health departments and has spoken to MACHO, the health officers affiliate of MACo.
