Results in the District 3 and 4 races are clear, the Republican nomination for District 2 remains too close to call.
Cecil County has staggered elections with the County Executive and two council seats elected during presidential years, and the other three council seats elected during mid-term years.
District 2 – The Republican contest remains too close to call with 244 votes separating the candidates. Ray Conger leads Aaron K. Wright in a close primary, but the race remains open with mail-in and provisional ballots remaining to be counted as of 9:30am this morning with. Whoever wins, they will face Jasmin R. Howell (D) in November. Incumbent Rebecca Hamilton (R) did not seek reelection.
District 3 – Incumber Al Miller (R) beat challenger Ken Schmid and will face Krystal Gorman (D) in November.
District 4 – Wayne L. Tome Sr. (R) ran uncontested in Tuesday’s Primary. No Democratic candidates filed to run in this race during Tuesday’s primary election. Incumbent Donna Culberson (R) did not seek reelection.
