Next week the Maryland Climate Change Commission plans to host a virtual presentation for the 2022 recommendations, followed by a question-and-answer session. The event will take place December 15th from 11am – 12:30pm. Counties leaders and climate staff are encouraged to register and attend.
The 2022 recommendations were a mixed bag for local governments. Six of the many far-reaching recommendations directly affect counties, four of which are semi-favorable to favorable for local governments and two of which represent potentially worrisome burdens or expectations on county governments. MACo abstained during the final vote on the recommendations, citing insufficient consultation of county governments.

Register for the December 15th presentation.
