Earlier this month, the US Department of Energy released a guide outlining solar resources for both local governments and consumers. The guide is easy to follow and breaks down everything from federal financing programs to programs that offer more technical assistance. Nationally, solar energy is the fastest-growing and most affordable source of new electricity. County governments should expect to be dealing with solar in one form or another for many years to come.
