The Maryland Department of the Environment will be holding a virtual public hearing at 5pm on March 30, 2022 to present their proposed changes to Maryland’s water quality standards in the Code of Maryland Regulations and accept comments.
The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is currently conducting the 2019 Triennial Review of Water Quality Standards. As part of this review, MDE will be proposing changes to Maryland’s water quality standards in the Code of Maryland Regulations. These changes will be published in a notice of proposed action in the March 11, 2022 issue of the Maryland Register. This date (March 11th) marks the beginning of the 30-day public comment period set to end on April 10, 2022.
