St. Mary’s County will participate in EDO Diagnostic Data Program to facilitate economic development.
SelectUSA is a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Its mission is to “facilitate job-creating business investment into the United States and raise awareness of the critical role that economic development plays in the U.S. economy.” The program recently launched the second year of its EDO Diagnostic Data Program, through which it provides economic development organizations (EDOs) with diagnostic data snapshots on the strengths and opportunities for their location.
According to its website, “SelectUSA has assisted thousands of clients, including EDOs, domestic firms, and international companies, facilitating $102 billion in client-verified investment, supporting more than 132,000 jobs across the United States and its territories.”
