The COVID-19 pandemic reshaped our education systems and the way students interact with public schooling, revealing some preexisting gaps and opening others.
At the MACo Winter Conference session, “Education Equity: Confronting the COVID Gap,” an expert panel will discuss how the emerging challenges and opportunities our students and institutions face coming in the “new normal,” from learning gaps, to inequities in resources and access.

Description: The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated existing inequities for Maryland’s students and revealed new challenges for our school systems and students. Panelists will discuss lessons learned from pandemic schooling, best practices to pursue more equitable learning in a post-pandemic educational setting, and the challenges ahead.
