Ground Broken on New Water Park that Will Create Jobs in Cecil County

Mother & daughter on tube in waterpark slideGreat Wolf Resorts, Inc. has broken ground on a new indoor waterpark that will bring new jobs to Cecil County. The new Great Wolf Lodge Maryland will be 126,000 square feet on 48 acres near Perryville. The project will be the company’s largest and includes 700 family suites.

According to a recent CBS article:

Officials estimate 2,000 people could be hired to build the $250 million resort. When it opens, 850 jobs in engineering, information technology, lifeguards, housekeepers and other sectors needed to run the park will be available.

In a statement, Great Wolf Resorts CEO Murray Hennessey said the project had received “tremendous support from the state, county, and town.”
