The Women of MACo, a chapter organization of the Maryland Association of Counties, will hold a special reception for female county elected officials, featuring remarks from the President of the Women Legislators of Maryland.
The Women of MACo will host a reception to welcome newly elected female county officials to the chapter organization at this year’s MACo Winter Conference. The reception be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019; 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Hyatt Resort in Cambridge, Maryland.
Frederick County Council Member MC Keegan-Ayer, the President of the Women of MACo will host the reception, which will feature Maryland Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes, the President of the Women Legislators of Maryland.
The Women Legislators of Maryland is a bi-partisan caucus of Senators and Delegates serving in the Maryland General Assembly that develops and supports legislation that matters to women and their families.
MACo has worked with Delegate Sample-Hughes, a veteran of county office, on several issues in the General Assembly’s Health and Government Operations Committee. Delegate Sample-Hughes has served in the General Assembly since 2015, and served on the Wicomico County Council from 2006-2014.
