The Harford County Council this week adopted a historic fiscal 2022 budget that fully funds the Board of Education’s operating request, sets record funding levels for public safety, and maintains reserves for fiscal uncertainties in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fiscal 2022 budget also eases the property tax burden on homeowners and businesses by adopting the constant yield rate, which keeps property tax revenues flat despite increasing property assessments.
“I would like to thank the County Council for their support along with my Director of Administration Ben Lloyd, Chief Advisor Billy Boniface, and my Treasury and Budget teams for their outstanding work in unsettled times,” said County Executive Glassman. “I would also like to thank our employees for their dedication to serving the citizens of Harford County.”
The final fiscal 2022 budget will be posted on the Harford County website.
