County Executive Hornberger Announces Key Appointments

Cecil County Executive Danielle Hornberger named several important members of her administration on Tuesday night. Former County Council Member Dan Schneckenburger will serve as as the County’s Director of Administration. 

Schneckenburger represented District Three on the Council from 2014 to 2018 after serving as Vice Chair of the Cecil County Chartering Committee in 2010 and the Cecil County Strategic Planning Committee in 2012. “I am honored to be appointed by the County Executive to serve as the Director of Administration, and I am excited for the opportunity to serve this County, once more, in this important role” said Schneckenburger.

Hornberger also announced more appointments:

Michele Ennis- Director of Human Resources
Dave Warnick- Director of Information Technology
Steven Overbay- Director of Economic Development
Wayne Tome- Director of Emergency Services
James Appel- Director of Finance

Stephen O’Connor was promoted from Deputy Director to Acting Director of Land Use and Development Services, and the following County Directors will remain in their current positions:

David Trolio- Director of Community Services
Scott Flanigan- Director of Public Works
Steve Reisler- Director of Facilities
Clyde Van Dyke- Director of Parks and Recreation
Rebecca Anderson- Deputy Director of Finance
County Executive Hornberger made the following statement regarding the confirmation:

“I would like to thank the County Council, and especially Council President Bob Meffley, for confirming these well-qualified appointees, who are eager to get to work serving Cecil County.”

Council President Meffley issued the following quote regarding the confirmation:

“I was very impressed by the candidates’ resumes and was proud of the way the County Council was able to thoroughly review them. I think that when you work with good people, you become better.”
