NACo will host a joint event for two of its most active caucuses, the Rural Action Caucus, and the Large Urban Counties Caucus – together during the afternoon of December 20.
The National Association of Counties, ever working to reach its member jurisdictions, has assembled a half day of content to bridge the interests of two of its most active sub-groups, those representing the largest urban members, and its most sparsely-populated rural members.
The December 20 Symposium will be held virtually from 1:00 to 5:30pm ET, with a virtual happy hour to follow. The content scheduled for the day includes updates on Washington DC transitions, vaccination plans, and pre trial justice reforms — a full range of topics of interest to counties, large and small.
From the NACo description of the program:
NACo’s Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC)/Rural Action Caucus (RAC) Virtual Symposium will bring together urban and rural county leaders from across the country to exchange ideas and share solutions in an informative, interactive and problem-solving virtual event. Hear the latest federal and legislative news from Washington, DC, and connect with national experts, innovators and elected leaders on topics of common interest, including supporting the health, local economy, food security and public safety of our county residents.
