Maryland Officials Recognized With NACo Leadership, Committee Positions

NACO-Logo (1)Congratulations to several Maryland county leaders and professional staff that have been appointed to serve on National Association of Counties (NACo) Committees.

The officials were selected to serve on their respective committees at the 85th Annual NACo Business Meeting. A few hold multiple positions not only as committee members but as committee leaders as well.

  • Honorable Calvin S. Hawkins, II, Council Member, Prince George’s County appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee’s Juvenile Subcommittee; as a member of the Healthy Counties Initiative Advisory Board; and as a member of the Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC) Steering Committee.
  • Honorable Evan Glass, Council Member, Montgomery County appointed to serve as a member of the Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC) Steering Committee.
  • Ms. Alysoun McLaughlin, Deputy Election Director, Montgomery County appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Finance, Pensions and Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee’s Elections Subcommittee; Vice Chair of the Programs and Services Standing Committee; and as a member of the Information Technology Standing Committee.
  • Mr. Apollo Teng, GIS Manager, Montgomery County appointed to serve as a member of the Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Subcommittee.
