UMD Hosting Ag Workshops for County and State Officials

The University of Maryland Extension, and the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources is hosting a series of workshops for state and local elected officials that discuss agriculture production and legal issues faced by producers.

Following several successful workshops last year, the groups have secured funding to continue the series in a virtual format. The year they will cover grain production, forage production, small flock poultry, dairy, cattle, and common legal issues. Several State agency representatives will also participate to explain their various programs. All local government officials and staff are encouraged to register and attend the sessions and take advantage of the opportunity to connect with state Extension Specialists who can provide assistance when issues arise.

To register for the session, visit the event page. For more information, view the 2020 County and State Officials Workshop Series Agenda.
