Join us in congratulations as MACo’s ever-present Leslie Velasco celebrates 25 years with the Association this week.

If you’ve exhibited at the MACo conferences, been part of the MACo budget process, or spent time at the MACo offices… then you already know how essential and important Leslie Velasco has been through her 25 years with the Association.

Leslie, MACo’s Administration and Finance Director, is effectively the “showrunner” of the Annapolis offices. She manages payroll and accounting, coordinates budgets and receivables, oversees the vast exhibitor showroom at conferences, maintains the legislative database, and manages in-office services like IT and telecommunications.

“It has just become the ‘Leslie job’ over time,” said Executive Director Michael Sanderson. “She’s just a part of MACo we build everything around. Great and reliable people do that – they become essential for more than what they were hired to do.”
