The Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) today announced that its Annual Conference – Inclusive Recovery for Economic Development – will be held online. The event – which was originally scheduled to take place at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay – will still be held (virtually) September 21-24, 2020.

According to MEDA:

After careful consideration, and out of an abundance of caution, MEDA is moving our Annual Conference to an online format. We have notified the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay that we will not be on site this year. Anyone in the MEDA room block will receive a hotel cancellation as soon as the Hyatt registers the conference cancellation in their system.

The MEDA Board is anxious to provide you with a virtual offering of programming and plans to conduct an online program entitled “Inclusive Recovery for Economic Development.” Please continue to hold September 21 – 24 as we plan an alternative that will include:

Conference Theme: Inclusive Recovery for Economic Development
MEDA Business Meeting
Economic Outlook by Anirban Basu
MEDA Awards
Silent Auction (online) to benefit the Lofton Scholarship Fund
More to be announced

Thank you all very much for your ongoing support.  If you have paid for the Annual Conference, we will be in touch regarding refunds as the rate will be adjusted.  Please expect full details coming soon.
