Counties Focus on Leadership During Changing Times at 2019 #MACoCon

The Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) 2019 Summer Conference concluded on August 17 with a closing address by Governor Larry Hogan. By all accounts, this year’s conference was the largest gathering of Maryland government stakeholders the event has sever seen!

Approximately 2,800 participants gathered at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City to discuss county government challenges, solutions, and partnerships. See the list of session coverage below.

The theme of the conference was “Winds of Change” with topics focusing on the many ways that government service is evolving – technology was a heavy feature in many sessions, but budgets, school construction, and environmental topics (among many others) brought together stakeholders from across the spectrum of county government services.
