Welcoming keynote Simon Bailey, the author of Shift Your Brilliance: Harness the Power of You, speaks with attendees at Maryland Association of Counties annual summer conference.

Simon Bailey, MACo’s keynote speaker for the 2019 Summer Conference, is a Breakthrough Strategist whose life’s purpose is to teach 1 billion+ people how to be fearless and create their futures. He equips companies with the tools necessary to effect cultural transformation resulting in higher employee engagement and platinum customer service experiences. He challenges individuals to dig deep to find and release their inner brilliance and become Chief Breakthrough Officers – personally and professionally.

At his MACo keynote, Bailey encouraged attendees to fulfill their potential, and not shy away from their inherent abilities. The universe wouldn’t put you in a place to lead if you didn’t already have the capacity to do it, he put forth.

He also shared the value of a leader in helping others discover their potential, finding that the role of a leader is to invite others on a journey to discover the leader within themselves.

Emphasizing the need for customer service, he turned the traditional notion on its head, saying that customer service should be a mindset, not a department.
