MACo’s Summer Conference offers something for everyone, including business owners.
On August 15-18, 2018, approximately 3,000 local government stakeholders will gather to discuss county government needs, challenges, and solutions at the MACo Summer Conference in Ocean City, MD. The conference focuses on water and all the ways counties serve their residents involving water – public health, infrastructure, the environment, the economy, tourism, etc. See the full program.
MACo is also hosting several offerings outside of the “Water, Water Everywhere” theme – notably, an Active Shooter Response Training, an Open Government Work Group Roundtable, and the Ready, Set GROW! Procurement Connections workshop.
The Procurement Connections workshop is offered in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs. It is an opportunity for business owners to learn more about state and local procurement, what buyers are looking for right now, and the opportunities and resources available.
An open networking session will round out the event, with procurement agencies being on-hand to give more information about upcoming partnerships for eligible applicants.
The Ready, Set, Grow! Procurement Connections Workshop is scheduled for Friday, August 17, 2018, from 9:00 am – noon at the Roland Powell Convention Center. Attending the workshop ONLY is free, but registration is required. To attend any other part of the MACo conference, participants must purchase a full or daily registration.
If you are already registered for MACo’s Summer Conference with a full or Friday registration, you can also register for the workshop – there is no additional charge to attend.
