A malicious email is being circulated under MACo’s name and branding. 

If you have received an email asking for monetary donations for a MACo member, it is fraudulent.

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS IN THAT EMAIL.
Please delete the email and alert your IT staff.

The subject of this fraudulent email is “Help Support Smith.”

The email claims that MACo is seeking monetary donations for a member whose son is critically ill. It is a very convincing email, appearing to link to a GoFundMe account, but it actually goes to a PayPal account. MACo did not send this email, or any other asking for donations.

We do not know who from our mailing list may have received this email (we are looking into it). We apologize for any inconvenience this scam email may cause.
