Washington County Hopewell Express Receives Line-Saving Grant

A free bus service connecting low-income workers to jobs in Washington County received a one-time grant from the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), enabling it to continue operating for another two years. The Washington County Community Action Council (CAC) received the good news about the $267,000 grant last week. EPA Withdrawal of “Waters of the US” Rule Provokes Strong Reactions

A Bay Journal blog article (2017-06-27) provided an update on the actions of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to withdraw the recent and much debated changes made to the definition of "Waters of the US" under the federal Clean Water Act. House Panel Approves Yanking Money for New FBI Headquarters

A House panel Thursday approved stripping money from the proposed new headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, an ominous sign for a project that is already facing challenges under the Trump administration. Howard County Libraries to Launch Lending Ukulele Kits

The Howard County Library wants everyone to know, you "Toucan" play a ukulele. Sun Editorial Criticizes Hogan’s Zero Waste Repeal

As previously reported on Conduit Street, Governor Lawrence "Larry" Hogan recently announced that he was repealing a zero waste executive order implemented by former Governor Martin O'Malley in his final week in office.
