Info from MyGreenMontgomery.org’s website:

The County’s premier community-focused event on clean water is returning in March.

Join local community groups to learn about how the County addresses water quality and how you can become involved.

This year’s agenda will focus on opportunities County residents can utilize to help improve their local waterways and the Summit will provide info on programs led by County Government, WSSC, Montgomery Parks and more.

  • Interested in knowing more about the stream valley parks?  Montgomery Parks staff will be on hand to provide guidance.
  • Is the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission upgrading infrastructure in your neighborhood? WSSC staff will discuss their progress in upgrading water and sewer infrastructure across the county.
  • Want to learn more about a stream restoration happening in your community? Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection will show attendees how to find projects using an interactive web tool.

All these topics and more will be highlighted at the event.  Green Infrastructure, community based social marketing, and community grant assistance on water quality improvement projects will also be discussed. Light refreshments will be provided.

More details and a full schedule will be available soon. To register for the event, please visit http://goo.gl/forms/DiIb5YbJJv.

Other event partners include City of Gaithersburg, City of Rockville, Montgomery Parks, University of Maryland Extension, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, and Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection.
