Next week PBS Frontline will air a “Chasing Heroin” special. Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh and his team will be watching along and live chatting during the premier to answer questions from the public about the heroin epidemic.

The two-hour episode, which airs Feb. 23 at 9 p.m., investigates the making of the nation’s heroin epidemic and looks at potential solutions to the crisis. In Anne Arundel County, an average of one resident a week dies of an opiate overdose, per statistics from county health officials.

The county executive will join a panel that includes Police Chief Tim Altomare, Health Officer Jinlene Chan and Mobile Crisis Team Director Jen Corbin to comment and answer questions from the public via Anne Arundel County’s Twitter account, @AACountyGovt. He encouraged residents to watch along.
