A December 5 SoMdNews article announced that the Charles County Commissioners have asked for the resignations of four county officials.  From the article:

County Administrator Mark Belton, County Attorney Barbara Holtz, Director of Economic Development Kwasi Holman and Citizens’ Liaison Office Director Scarlett Mower have been given until Dec. 12 to decide whether to resign or be terminated by the county, multiple sources with knowledge of the decisions confirmed. None of the dismissals are for cause, and all four will receive severance packages.

In addition, county employee Deborah Tarbox has been transferred from the commissioners’ office back to the Department of Planning and Growth Management, sources said.
