This month, Garrett County’s Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development department will unveil its new branding, strategy and logo to hopefully increase people, jobs and investment in the county.

One reveal of the logo and messaging will take place on Thursday, January 16 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Garrett College in room CE203 and the other unveiling will take place on Thursday, January 30 from 9:00am until 10:30am at the St. Peter’s Parish Social Hall in Oakland, Maryland.

From the press release:

As part of the public launch of the countywide brand, the Chamber and Economic Development will be seeking local partners to utilize the brand.  The public launches will provide guidance and a roadmap for this usage.  A Style & Usage Guide were developed and will be distributed at the launches to all partners who want to use the new logo and message.

The Chamber and Economic Development encourage you to attend one of the events to learn about the new brand and find out how to become a partner.   Although both events are free to attend registration is preferred.  You may register online at www.visitdeepcreek .com, by emailing Carol Hauser at carol@garrettchamber.com, or by calling Carol at 301-387-6171.

“We are very pleased with the outcome of this 18 month project and excited to share the results with the community,” said Nicole Christian, President and CEO of the Chamber.   “We believe that our entire community will benefit greatly from the usage of the brand logo and messaging and we encourage all the local businesses, organizations and towns to partner with us on this endeavor.”
