Allegany County Commissioners plan to give approval to a contract with county roads employees and their fiscal 2014 budget when they on June 6. As reported by the Cumberland Times-News:
The contract would give roads employees a 3 percent cost of living increase over each of the next three years. The contract will be on Thursday’s county commission agenda for approval and signing, said Brian Westfall, director of human resources for the county.
Other employees can expect to see a raise in the county’s budget for the upcoming year:
County employees have not seen a raise for four years, but a 3 percent across the board raise was written into the fiscal 2014 budget. The new fiscal year begins July 1, said Jason Bennett, the county’s finance director.
