The Eastern Shore Land Conservancy has announced its 13th Annual Planning Conference, being held Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Tidewater Inn in Easton, Maryland. Entitled “Rural Jobs Summit: Vibrant Towns & Working Landscapes,” the conference will address how a new agenda can be built to spur the region’s economic prosperity. Participants will be asked to contemplate how the region can build on its strengths to create jobs in the context of complete, diverse and thriving towns in a beautiful, protected and productive landscape. Experts in agriculture, seafood, tourism, retail, and a range of other business sectors, will be present.
The conference aims to draw together community leaders, elected officials, planners, designers, entrepreneurs and farmers from around the region to discuss and envision the economic landscape of rural areas.
