The Maryland Department of Planning (MDP) has published a notice of the draft planning area guidelines and an online mapping application to assist local governments with the implementation of PlanMaryland.  A copy of the guidelines are available on the PlanMaryland website.

The Department has also created an online mapping application, designed to assist local governments in mapping planning areas.  The PlanMaryland Guidance Map helps local jurisdictions identify Planning Areas consistent with draft Planning Area Guidelines and to illustrate how Planning Areas will relate to existing geographic priorities (Areas Currently Targeted by Existing Programs discussed in the draft Guidelines).
