In June of last year, the Maryland Department of Environment received $121.6 million for Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund projects, a program created under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act . As noted on the Maryland Department of Environment’s website , $92.8 million will be allocated for pollution reduction projects and $26.4 million towards improvements in drinking water treatment, storage, and wells.
