The Maryland Department of Planning (MDP) has launched a new septic bill implementation webpage that seeks to provide guidance to local governments on implementing the requirements of the Sustainable Growth and Agricultural Preservation Act of 2012 (SB 236).
The webpage provides various technical resources, including the second version of the Implementation Guidance for SB 236 and a summary of how MDP determines whether an area is “dominated by agriculture or forestland,” which is one of the criteria a county must consider when adopting SB 236′s growth tiers.
